This Friday we'll be invading the historic Avalon Theatre in Easton along with Rise Up Coffee to get out and see legendary singer/songwriter Bob Mould. We'll have a "keep the pint" promo going on (it's what it sounds like), along with our Primal Pale ale, Exile ESB, Lucky 7 Porter and Rise Up Stout. It's a great chance to check out most of our draft lineup, get yourself an EVO pint glass and see one of the most important songwriters of the last 30 years. Bob's career began with the trailblazing postpunk Minneapolis outfit Husker Du in the '80's. Future stars of alternative rock such as the Pixies, Dinosaur Jr and Nirvana would be inconceivable without the work of Mould and Husker Du. A prolific and varied solo career followed, as well as several records with his band Sugar in the mid nineties. I haven't seen Mould since his Sugar days, but in the early nineties I spent many evenings watching him on a seemingly endless solo acoustic tour, as well as shows in the rock band format. Definitely not a performer to be missed, and if you can wash it down with Evolution drafts and Rise Up Coffee, well then, how do you beat that? See you Friday!
